Our Current President, Edwin Camp

Edwin Camp is a Bakersfield native, born in 1956, one of five children born to Don and Izetta Camp. The quest to learn his trade began early, having been raised on the farm, he spent most summers and holidays working in various areas of the operation. He attended Shafter Schools, was active in his church youth group and became an Eagle Scout before reaching high school.

Edwin earned a bachelor's degree in Crop Science from Cal Poly graduating in 1979 with honors. While on campus he served as president of the Crops Club, participated in intramural sports, Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, was a member of Alpha Zeta, a national professional Ag Fraternity and was involved with NAMA and Toastmasters.

He is active in many industry organizations, currently serving as president on the Arvin-Edison Water Storage District board and serves as a director on the Friant Water Authority Board and Executive Committee and is on the advisory board of the Kern Citizens for Sustainable Government. "Faith is dead to doubt, dumb to discouragement, blind to possibilities"

Faith and family are as important as business and community involvement. In 1987 he and wife, Kaye, were married. He is the proud father of two daughters, Mckenzie and Missy. Mckenzie is a freelance musician/percussionist and music teacher in San Francisco. Missy is pursuing her Master's degree in Music Therapy at UOP.  Edwin is a current director on the Christian Performing Artist’s Fellowship, and was formerly a director on the Kern County Youth for Christ Board with Kaye currently serving in that position. Edwin and Kaye are members of Trinity Anglican Church in Bakersfield, and are both enjoying Bible Study Fellowship.

Reputation is what others think you are. Character is what God knows you are. And when your reputation and character are both blameless, you have integrity.
